Get ready for an adrenaline-filled weekend as the 40th annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix returns from September 13-15, 2024! The festivities kick off on Friday, September 13, with a Pit Party from 6-10 p.m. at the Van Wezel parking lot, featuring live music from country artist Andy Velo, food trucks, vendors, and a stunning display of powerboats.

On Saturday and Sunday, over 50 race teams will hit the waters off Lido Beach, with Class 1 boats reaching speeds of up to 160 mph. For the best view, grab a ticket to the VIP viewing experience on Lido Beach, offering prime seating, live race streaming, and cashless dining options. Corporate hospitality tents are also available for an elevated experience.

New this year is the Class 1 experience, giving fans exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the biggest and fastest powerboats, including private tours, meet-and-greets, and premium race viewing on both days. Traditionally held over July 4th, the event has been moved to September to boost local business during the off-season and protect wildlife during peak nesting periods.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the P1 Marine Foundation, supporting marine conservation and youth scholarships. Sarasota is the fourth stop in this year’s P1 Offshore series, with the next race in St. Pete from October 18-20. Don’t miss out on this thrilling Sarasota tradition!
