The beloved restaurant Florence and the Spice Boys, known for its delectable Middle Eastern fusion cuisine, is set to open its second brick-and-mortar location at University Town Center (UTC) in north Sarasota. This exciting development was confirmed by a spokesperson from Benderson, the developer behind UTC, a rapidly expanding retail hub just west of the University Parkway exit on Interstate 75.

Originally launched as a food truck in 2019, the Spice Boys quickly gained a loyal following. Their success led to the opening of their first restaurant, Florence and the Spice Boys, in March 2023 at The Landings shopping center in south Sarasota. Benderson Development, also the landlord for The Landings, has played a key role in their growth. The new 2,500-square-foot restaurant on Cattlemen Road will feature a spacious patio with an indoor-outdoor bar, embracing a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere similar to the original location. The decor will include lush greenery and bohemian accents, enhancing the dining experience.

Diners can look forward to signature dishes such as the turmeric fried chicken sandwich, chicken shawarma taco, and vegan falafel pita taco, alongside a few new elevated dishes. The menu promises to deliver the same quality and creativity that fans have come to love.
