The temporary presence of Miami-based Bal Harbour Shops near University Town Center Mall in Sarasota is now offering a taste of luxury outdoor shopping on the Suncoast. The pop-up, featuring 30 prestigious brands such as Tiffany & Co., Gianvito Rossi, and Balmain, showcases a unique shopping experience through custom-designed shipping containers, a hallmark of Bal Harbour’s immersive approach.
Comprising a total of 45 containers, each store is stocked with a curated selection of merchandise, complemented by high-end concierge associates to assist customers. The Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up brings the renowned Bal Harbour experience to a broader audience, inviting discerning shoppers to indulge in a fusion of luxury, fashion, and dining. Spanning over 17,000 square feet, the pop-up employs 60 local sales associates and food & beverage team members, making Sarasota the second stop on the Bal Harbour multi-city pop-up tour.
Matthew Whitman Lazenby, President and CEO of Whitman Family Development, expressed excitement about the grand opening, emphasizing its uniqueness in the Sarasota market. Beyond shopping, Bal Harbour will provide a 150-seat pop-up dining concept called The Whitman, offering a Latin-inspired, Sarasota-specific menu in an inviting al fresco setting.
An official grand opening is scheduled for today, March 8, and a Whitman Development spokesperson has confirmed that the pop-up will remain open through April. This limited-time engagement provides an extended opportunity for luxury enthusiasts to experience the exclusive offerings of Bal Harbour Shops in Sarasota!
