Following the sale of three top waterfront restaurants in Sarasota and Bradenton, a new dining spot is set to open in Waterside Place, Lakewood Ranch. Unlike other well-known waterfront eateries, this restaurant will overlook Kingfisher Lake, the centerpiece of this upscale neighborhood.

Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House, which opened this week, offers a “fresh twist on coastal casual” dining. With perfect scores on its Florida restaurant inspection, the restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor dining with scenic lake views. The menu will mirror its sister location near Casey Key, open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Known for its location along the Intracoastal Waterway, Deep Lagoon’s menu includes specialties like grouper oscar and chili-rubbed tripletail, as well as favorites like coconut shrimp and fish and chips. The seafood gumbo and blackened grouper sandwich are standout items.
