St. Regis Opening Soon on Longboat Key

The highly anticipated St. Regis at 1601 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, is set to open its doors late this summer. Reservations are now open, with the first available dates starting Tuesday, October 1.

The St. Regis Longboat Key joins a prestigious lineup of global destinations such as Bora Bora, Osaka, and Abu Dhabi. This new resort features an array of amenities, including multiple pools, one of which is a 475-foot-long winding river with waterfalls that lead into a grotto equipped with Jacuzzi jets and Champagne service at the touch of a button.

The resort, which began construction in 2021 on the former site of the Colony Beach Resort, spans an 18-acre beachfront property. This development, the largest on the barrier island in over 50 years, will feature a 168-room luxury hotel and three six-story residential buildings with 69 luxury condominiums, which sold out about two years ago. The entire project is estimated to cost around $800 million, with room rates starting at approximately $930 per night, depending on the season. You can view more details about St. Regis here on my website.

The 20,000-square-foot public spa boasts beachfront views, a Finnish sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, and a snow shower that produces snow for up to 30 minutes. It also features a plunge pool and a vitality pool targeting different body zones with hydro massage. Additionally, a spa suite will be available for small parties of six to eight people. The spa’s menu includes massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, and hair salon services, along with wellness offerings like guided visualization, meditation, and sleep therapy.

The St. Regis Longboat Key will offer 10 event spaces totaling 36,285 square feet, suitable for weddings, galas, fundraisers, and conferences. The ballroom can accommodate up to 600 people theater-style. The pricing for events will vary based on the season and specifics, with full-service event costs during peak season ranging from $20,000 to $80,000 or more.

Guests will have access to seven food and beverage venues. CW Prime will serve steakhouse classics with table-side preparations, while the Spirit Room offers a private cocktail speakeasy experience. Riva, an Italian-focused dining space, will feature a pasta bar and both indoor and outdoor dining options. The St. Regis Bar will provide entertainment with a piano, and Aura will offer Latin American fare by the pool. The Monkey Bar will serve tiki-inspired cocktails and snacks, and Oshen, exclusive to hotel guests, will offer a rooftop lounge with seafood-focused small plates. Café Caroline will provide healthy drinks, coffees, and fresh pastries throughout the day.

The resort will feature a lagoon wildlife reserve with a 350,000-gallon habitat, housing nearly 50 stingrays and over 2,800 local reef fish. The educational program will include snorkeling among the marine life. For children, there will be a “Reef Rangers” program with activities for ages 4 to 12, as well as a teen program. The resort will also host a McCarver & Moser luxury jewelry store and a Vilebrequin luxury swimwear shop with a dedicated St. Regis Longboat Key print.

Non-guests can enjoy resort amenities through a membership program priced at $125,000, excluding additional quarterly dues and a minimum annual spend.

The St. Regis Longboat Key promises a luxurious experience, blending elegance with the natural beauty of the Gulf of Mexico.
